Inspired by Marc Chagall’s 1917 painting ‘The Blue House’, this digital collage explores two contrasting parts; the joy of the new house with the underlying stress of a balding bank account.
Babies. So cute. So squishy. Such enormous heads. The perfect card to say ‘ouch, I mean congratulations.’
I think this is pretty good option if you’re looking for a non denominational Christmas card. Unless of course a tree holding presents offends you. If so, just think of this as a slice of weird green pizza with legs. Merry Pizzamass.
Art card The Waratah’s botanical name is Telopea speciosissima. Telopea, derived from the Greek ‘telopos’, meaning ‘seen from afar’. If you’re thinking of sending this as a secret admirer card try not to use that as inspiration and write something…
Unlike its official botanical name, Craspedia globosus, the Billy Button is a pretty happy and easy-going flower. I have some growing at home but would never consider cutting their heads off to put in a vase. I’m an artist, not a monster.
Art Card If I were a bird I would totally hit the Bottlebrush after a hard day. The flower looks a bit like a bottle of Campari. That’s what birds see when they’re flying around looking for a place to…
I’m a Swede, so I grew up with dark winters and candles, and the candles match the white roses. I’ve moved probably fifty times in my life, from country to country, so I like to have a few things to ground my environment.
TO: JEN FROM: JANE AND MATS
If you ever see Jen in the wild outside of Swensk she will almost certainly be wearing a trucker cap, denim jacket and a tote bag on her shoulder. Now that it is a longer commute to work, she needs to have more sturdy and larger bag to carry her books for the train ride and what she needs for the day -from groceries to leather tools, there is no limit to what Jen might be carrying with her on any given day!
TO: ALMOST ANYONE I KNOW. FROM: JANE
This is so beautiful. I could find a reason to get this for almost anyone in my life. My book club girls could hold all the books we read, my friend Fi subscribes to about 100 magazines (that she so kindly shares with me when she is done), and my friend Jamy is so chic this would fit into her home like an object to admire. I can not say enough about this piece. Love love love
TO: KELLY FROM: JANE
My sister moved to Germany and this year she is coming to spend Christmas with us in Melbourne. So I want to give her something small so not to take up too much room in her bags. And in the cooler months when she reaches to her bag for an umbrealla hopefully my gift brings a smile to her face knowing even in the cold and wet she is chic and covered in style!
TO: MATS FROM: JANE
A few years ago Mats went from drinking 5 coffees a day to nothing literally over night. But now as a tea drinker he needs his a thermal cup to keep his tea warm. I already bought the black version of this for Mats at his birthday that he uses every day at the shop. So this is a matching one to have at home when he is on the move to soccer training or swimming lessons with the kids.
TO: JAX FROM: JANE
My good friend Jax bought her own home this year so this is a belated house warming gift and Christmas persent. I love to receive fancy soap to enjoy the everyday rituals and I know she will do.
